HERNDON, VA, (NAMC) - Ruckus has been selected by Babson College, Wesleyan University and Bridgewater State College to be the official digital entertainment network of each of the three schools. By signing on with Ruckus, the three campuses join Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts as New England colleges offering Ruckus to their students. Through Ruckus, students will be able to download music, access Hollywood movies, create a personal profile and legally exchange and share downloaded tracks.
Ruckus' digital music offering will give enrolled students, faculty and staff at Babson, Bridgewater and Wesleyan unlimited access to more than a million licensed tracks from major and independent labels for less than the cost of buying a CD per semester. Ruckus' digital movie service gives subscribers access to an extensive and constantly rotating catalogue of Hollywood movies, cult classics and independent films. All users gain access to Ruckus' digital social network, which allows them to create a profile, interact and share downloaded songs.
"Ruckus is a great fit for colleges looking for more than a way to give students access to legal music," said Mary Rose, vice president of administration and CIO at Babson College. "Babson College is number one in the nation for entrepreneurship - we know a good business decision when we see one. Ruckus offers an important service in enabling social networking."
With the addition of Babson, Bridgewater and Wesleyan, Ruckus has seen its number of participating campuses climb to more than 20 schools. Ruckus' success is a testament to the complete digital entertainment and social experience that separates them from music download services.
"At Bridgewater State College, we look for innovative technology to educate, engage and even entertain our students," said Bill Davis, vice president for administration and chief information officer at the college. "All BSC students have laptops and we're wireless across our entire campus. Ruckus is a great next step for Bridgewater State College and our students, a cutting-edge service that offers excellent, legal digital music and movies, and enhances student life and virtual community."
"The problem of illegal file sharing is very real on all college campuses, including Wesleyan," said David Pesci, director of media relations, senior writer at Wesleyan University. "Ruckus gives our students an alternative to illegal file sharing. It provides the ability to legally share music and movies and educational content digitally. We are hoping students who have been illegally downloading files will embrace Ruckus for its speed, the quality of its content, and most importantly, because it is legal."

About Wesleyan University
Wesleyan University, in Middletown Connecticut, was founded in 1831 by Methodist leaders and Middletown citizens and named for John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.
Today, Wesleyan prepares its students to face a rapidly changing world with confidence and the sense of responsibility to want to make the world a better place. Wesleyan students gain that confidence from a strong education in the liberal arts and sciences - an education that engenders the ability to engage in critical thinking, to communicate effectively, to find creative solutions to problems, to develop the imagination to see the world as others see it, and to make ethical judgments that come from deep within one's character.
