eBay Taps Bob Swan as Chief Financial Officer
CHICAGO, IL, (NAMC) – Leading online auction company, San Jose, California based eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer.
The company has appointed Bob Swan to the position of Senior VP, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of eBay, this is effective March 16, 2006.
Bob Swan brings to eBay vast experience from his time spent at Electronic Data Systems (NYSE: EDS) and he replaces Rajiv Dutta, who will sidestep to the position of President of Skype, eBay’s online voice communications business.
eBay has been criticized for their acquisition of Skype and the funds that have been poured into the project, so this is part of the company’s plan to make that division profitable for eBay.
