FinancialContent Positions StreetIQ.com for Success
NEW YORK, NY, (NAMC) - Leading financial content solutions provider, FinancialContent, Inc. (OTCBB:FCON.) recently secured $1 million for their financial podcasting venture StreetIQ.com.

The company has entered into a definitive agreement with an institutional investor for the sale of a $1 million secured convertible note. They have received the first round of funding in the amount of $350,000; the remainder will be completed once the company gets clearance on the appropriate registration statements that were filed as per the terms of the agreement.

FinancialContent plans on using the additional funds as a means to increase their development, sales and marketing efforts for both StreetIQ.com and FinancialContents products.

The launching of StreetIQ.com was revolutionary but at the same time filling a need in the financial community. We’ve mention on the NAMC Newswire on several occasions that the mobile lifestyle is not only a North American trend but has been the direction that China, Japan and now India has been going, not to mention Europe. So the addition of a central location for all financial podcasts allows individuals to include informative and compelling content from numerous organizations from one place to go hand and hand with their on the go lifestyle.

With companies like Research in Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM), Palm (NASDAQ: PALM) Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and now Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) , the leaders in mobile technology, consistently advancing their products allowing for more audio and video content to be included in their units, this  will just expand the mobile playing field.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has paved the way on the mobile entertainment front with their iPod brand. Steve Jobs has forced mobile content providers and technology companies to enhance their product, not only for music but also for video, podcast and the basic operating systems.

Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) created the Wi-Max chip to accommodate the mobile lifestyle, and Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) has followed suit. So from the internal components to the actual content, it’s not only the technology and content companies that are driving the changes but it’s the ever changing demands that consumers are making that is sparking the change.

FinancialContent is one that has embrace the change with their StreetIQ.com brand and gives consumers the access to the worlds most compelling audio content not only online but in the palm of their hands.

The NAMC Newswire is featured on StreetIQ.com and has found it to be a useful tool for our audio content.
