LOS ANGELES, CA (NAMC) – On Friday, August 17, 2007, Midwest Air Group, Inc. (AMEX:MEH), which is the parent company of Midwest Airlines, has announced that they will be hosting an institutional investor and analyst conference call/webcast today to review the definitive merger agreement that they Company has signed with a subsidiary of TPG Capital, L.P.


According to the Company, Midwest Air Group’s management team will offer an update on the current status of the merger on the conference call which will be taking place at 11:30 EST. Now this conference call and decision comes on the heels of the deal talks breakdown between AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) the parent of AirTran Airways and Midwest Air. This morning this is what Joe Leonard, Chairman and CEO of AirTran Airways had to say about the decision and about AirTran:
