Seven non-profit organizations join forces locally to make an impact
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, (NAMC) - Seven non-profit organizations from LA County, Orange County, Mexico and Africa, will join forces locally to make an impact globally during this one magical evening.  The event called "Cocktail Party for a Cause" will take place Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach from 6:30pm-12:00am.

The mission of this event is to collect the items listed below for the seven charity organizations, and to show people that one event locally can produce multiple amazing outcomes globally.

The items being collected are as follows:
  • A Blanket of Love - 600 blankets, new or good condition for shelters
  • Shoes of Hope - 300 pairs of shoes all sizes, new or good condition for an orphanage in Mexico
  • Memorial-Miller Children’s Hospital - New unwrapped toys
  • Kids’ Global Outreach - Clothing for children with AIDS in Kenya, Africa
  • Long Beach Women’s Shelter – Womens career apparel & everyday clothing (new or used).
  • Catholic Workers Isaiah House - Mens clothing and brand new mens crew socks for this shelter.
  • Orangewood Childrens Foundation – Monetary donations for educational programs

Donations the night of the event, to any of the seven organizations, will provide admission.  There will be hors d’oeuvres, dancing, raffles, live entertainment and no-host cocktails.
