(NAMC) - Although this past Sunday was a very cold one, the big story was the New York Giants heating up and advancing to the Super Bowl. It was no big upset that the New England Patriots squeaked by the San Diego Chargers, with an injured quaterback in Rivers and their MVP L.T. sitting on the sidelines they fought a good fight but couldn't overcome the undefeated Patriots.
Now the Giants however played with such heart, there is no other word for it, year in and year out the Giants have a solid team in place but fall by the wayside. The fans crucify the Giants Coach and of course little brother Eli Manning, but not on Sunday, they were both praised as the Giants won one of the roughest games that this team has played in years.
Manning and his crew proved themselves to be contenders in their last meeting with the New England Patriots and now they have a real chance of putting Super Bowl Championship rings on their fingers if they play with the heart and soul that they have been.
Some football fans may compare this to the rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, but the only difference here is that this all comes down to one game and one game only, there are no second chances.
So lets see if little brother Eli can bring the gold back to New York and spark one of the largest sports parades that the city has seen in years.
