Rev up for the Annual “Black Bike Fest” Myrtle Beach, SC Memorial Day Weekend May 27th, 28th & 29th 2005
(NAMC) - Don your helmets as the 25th annual Black Bike Week gang hits the highway and moves full speed ahead to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, 2005.

Black Bike Week is an annual gathering of sports bikers throughout the United States, largely from the eastern sea board, including New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC and Virginia; to the southeastern states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and beyond; who have grown in number to approximately 400,000 participants and attendees since its inception. The bikers, primarily African-Americans who range in age from 21-45, ride bikes made by Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda’s, and Harley’s, participate in a myriad of cultural activities throughout this week.

The inclusion of the Black Bike Festival Grounds was created recently by Melvin Ware, CEO of The Bent Sombrero Inc., and Earl Chestnut, CEO of Iatola Inc. These companies control the Black Bike Festival Grounds, the largest independent piece of property for the annual Black Bike Fest in the area. These festival grounds encompass approximately 150 acres and can accommodate more than 50,000 participants and attendees. This addition to the week-long festival takes place at North Myrtle Beach Drag Strip (right off Highway 90) and includes an expanded array of events and functions.

The main action at the Black Bike Fest takes place at North Myrtle Beach Drag strip. The festival grounds, which encompass a drag strip, concert areas, vendors and food courts, will open at 8 am daily and the Black Bike Fest will include car shows, bike shows and other special events, as well as a fireworks celebration and day-long games and prizes for all ages. Adult club life and after parties, sponsored by The Bent Sombrero Inc., and Iatola Inc., will take place at different venues in the local area [TBA].

Visitors to the Black Bike Fest will be able to attend concert performances by various well-known R&B, Reggae and Rap/Hip Hop recording artists, including West Coast stars Yo Yo and Guerilla Black, reggae stars Tonto Metro, Devonte and Sugar Prince, as well as The Inc. /Def Jam vocalist Lloyd, among many others. Step-shows featuring Greeks from neighboring universities from such fraternities as Phi Beta Sigma, Alpha Phi Alpha and Kappa Alpha Psi is an added attraction, so rev up And come on down to the Bent Sombrero Inc.’s Black Bike Fest.
