COLUMBUS, OH (NAMC) - RegattaCentral (www.regattacentral.com), North America’s leading regatta management solution for the sport of rowing has reached an agreement with the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association (www.phillyflicks.com) to provide event management solutions in 2005 for its eight scholastic rowing regattas including the prestigious Manny Flick / Horvat Scholastic Regatta Series.

The annual regatta series, which began March 20 and will run through May 15, attracts up to 3,000 scholastic rowers representing 85 schools to each of eight regattas on Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River. Under the agreement, RegattaCentral, a Columbus Ohio company, will provided online regatta management, entry processing and results for the five Manny Flick / Horvat Scholastic Regattas (Mar. 20 – Apr. 24), Catholic League Championships (May 1), Philadelphia City Championships (May 8) and the Dr. Robert White Regatta (May 15).

“RegattaCentral is an easy-to-use online tool that will significantly reduce the hours our volunteers spend processing entries,” said Matt Morano, Vice President of the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association and a rowing coach at St. Joseph Prep in Philadelphia. “With as many students and schools participating in our regattas we need to be more efficient,” said Morano. “I expect to see a significant reduction in the hours that coaches and our volunteers spend on the entry process. Our volunteers can now focus on growing and improving our regattas instead of filling out paperwork.”
